The Nonagon Association, in a joint initiative with TERINOV - Terceira Island Science and Technology Park, held this morning a presentation meeting of the Startup Europe Regions Network (SERN), a partner network of both entities.

About 30 participants attended this meeting, namely Chiara Frencia, Head of Operations, Andreia Mendes, Project Assistant and Communication Support, both from SERN, Bruno Pacheco, Regional Director of Science and Technology, Arnaldo Machado and Teresa Ferreira, President and Vice - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nonagon Association, Duarte Pimentel, Terinov Executive Director, Vigor Fraga, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azorean Society for Business Development and representatives of startups at Nonagon, Unoffice - PDL Business & Cowork Center, Inbubaçor and Azores Craft Lab.

After the meeting, the SERN representatives toured the facilities of the São Miguel Science and Technology Park, getting to know the entities installed and the projects under development.

SERN is a non-profit organization with a strong commitment to supporting startups and their activities, focusing primarily on mapping and promoting regional support activities across Europe and mobilizing regional resources to address relevant barriers to development startup growth, such as regulatory harmonization, access to talent and key research infrastructures. SERN aims to strengthen the bonds between people, companies and associations that build and expand the startup ecosystem.

This event was also marked by the signing of a protocol aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Nonagon Association and the Terceira Island Science and Technology Park Association.
