The Tesarac auditorium opened its doors to welcome a lecture on "Climate, Environment and Regulation: the future of companies in the Azores", organized today by A.E.S.A.
The day began with a networking session where participants and speakers had the opportunity to exchange ideas and share knowledge, followed by the opening session, chaired by Catarina Miranda, President of the A.E.S.A. Board.
The event, which was attended both in person and online, also included a round table discussion moderated by Carla Melo from Simbiente Açores.
This moment of debate was attended by Professor Eduardo Brito de Azevedo, an associate professor at the University of the Azores and head of the Climate, Meteorology and Global Change Group also at the University of the Azores, who Spoke about "The climate diversity of the Azores: Challenges and Opportunities in a changing climate".
Professor António Guerreiro de Brito, professor and President of the Agronomy Institute of the University of Lisbon, also took part in the event. He spoke about "Water pressure: Renewing the future" and Dr. Marta Guerreiro, Economist and President of the Executive Committee of Novo Banco dos Açores, spoke about "Sustainable Finance and Regulation".
This event is part of the mission of the Nonagon Association and A.E.S.A., which is to share information and good practice in sustainability.
