The Nonagon Association – Science and Technology Park of São Miguel received, last week, the visit of the 1st year class of the Technical Course in Informatics and Systems of the Professional School of Vila Franca do Campo.

The 20 students, accompanied by two teachers, were received in the Viking room at NONAGON by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Teresa Ferreira.

After learning about the mission and objectives of this Association, with collaborator Lúcia Lopes, they had the opportunity to attend an interactive presentation made by collaborator Ricardo Machado on “Empreender e Innovar no Séc. XXI”, some concepts and myths about Entrepreneurship, some successful projects were highlighted in the Azores.

The activity ended with a visit to the facilities of the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel.

With NONAGON as the core business of Information and Communication Technologies, this type of visit is of importance so that, by making known the business ecosystem and the Incubator, it can contribute to the attraction and retention of new talents in the Region.
