This afternoon, the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel received a public presentation of the project for the construction of the Business Center for Information and Communication Technologies, next to the NONAGON building.

The ceremony, which began with the presentation of the Project, carried out by the architect Gomes Menezes, was attended by the Regional Secretary for Culture, Science and Digital Transition, Dr. Suzete Amaro.

“This will be a favorable infrastructure for the emergence of new technology-based companies, promoting business R&D activities and stimulating the creation of advanced technology business centers”, said the Regional Secretary.

This building, which aims to ensure a technologically advanced work environment, will include spaces of a pioneering nature in the Region, enabling genuinely innovative and disruptive results, namely a FAB LAB and a pioneering high-performance computing structure.

After the intervention, those present had the opportunity to visit the construction sites, accompanied by a representative of the company Marques, S.A.

The Mayor of Lagoa, the President of the Municipal Assembly of Lagoa, the Regional Director for Science and Digital Transition, the Regional Director for Public Works and Land Transport, the President of the Board of Directors of Association Nonagon were also present at this presentation, several representatives of the entities involved in the construction of the next building and representatives and employees of the companies located in the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel.
