On July 2nd and 3rd, the Nonagon Association attended the XVII Iberian Meeting of Science and Technology Parks, which took place in Avilés.

Organized by APTE - Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks, TECPARQUES - Portuguese Association of Science and Technology Parks and Isla de la Innovation, this year's event was on the theme of “Green Industry: Innovation and Sustainability”.

The event was attended by more than 70 participants and featured several expert speakers from Spain and Portugal who addressed a variety of topics, one of which was the Energy Transition Policy in the Azores Region, by the Regional Energy Director of the Azores Regional Government, Joana Rita.

Nonagon was represented by Teresa Ferreira, President of the Board of Directors of the Nonagon Association and, at the same time, Vice-President of TECPARQUES, and by Eduardo Cabral.

On the first day, the participants were welcomed by the Alcadesa de Avilés, Marivi Monteserin, who spoke about the city's history and future projects. The program also included the opportunity to meet some companies from the innovation ecosystem in the city of Avilés.
