The auditorium of NONAGON opened its doors to host the 2nd Technical Seminar on Circular Economy, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change through the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Change.

The opening session was done by the Regional Secretary for the Environment and Climate Change, Alonso Miguel, who inaugurated a day filled with plenary sessions that showcased various practices of Circular Economy within the framework of the Regional Circular Economy Roadmap.

The event also featured roundtable discussions where national projects were presented and debated, including the Repair Café Lisbon project, Re-Costura – From excluded clothing to exclusive fashion, and CECOLAB – Collaborative Laboratory for Circular Economy. Additionally, regional projects were highlighted, such as Research in Circular Economy and Innovation Green Azores, Conteira and Valorization of Endogenous Products.

The presentation of Platform 9 Ilhas Circulares was also carried out by members of Loop Circular.

The closing session was conducted by the Head of the Waste Management Division of the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Change, Dália Leal.
