The Nonagon Association – Science and Technology Park of São Miguel hosted, on January 27th, an event for the Presentation of the New Model of the Azores Sustainability Charter, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Mobility and Infrastructures and by Sustain Azores.
The opening session was led by the President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, followed by a presentation by the Regional Director of Tourism, Rosa Costa, about “The role of the Charter in the Positioning of the Destination”.
Afterwards, Carolina Mendonça, Coordinator of the Azores DMO, explained to the public the course of the Azores Sustainability Charter.
In the second part of the event, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the new model and platform with the CEO of Sustain Azores, Joana Borges Coutinho, and the partner of Sair da Casca, Cláudia Tapadas. There was also a moment of debate between subscribing entities, namely, Prolacto, Pauleta Association, Municipality of Nordeste, SATA and Finançor.
The TESARAC auditorium received around 150 people for this event, which ended with the intervention of Berta Cabral, Regional Secretary for Tourism, Mobility and Infrastructure.
