The Nonagon Association- Science and Technology Park of São Miguel received, on January 10th, a visit from the Senator of the State of Massachusetts, Michael J. Rodrigues, accompanied by a group of 21 Senators and Representatives from Several States.
Michael Rodrigues and his committee were welcomed by the President of the Board of Directors of Nonagon, Teresa Ferreira, in the TESARAC auditorium with a brief welcome speech and project framework, followed by an institutional presentation done by Lúcia Lopes.
Afterwards, the group had the opportunity to learn about the protocol for attracting external talents designed by the company PRA, a partner of the Nonagon Association, by Joana de Sá, as well as the work developed by PMA, a company in the NONAGON business ecosystem that originated in Boston, by Carlos Mendes.
The first part of the program ended after Diogo Leite, from PMA company, representing the group that was formed by members of companies that reside in NONAGON, talked about the experience and results of participating in a Learning Tour to the Massachusetts Innovation Ecosystem.
The visit ended with the participants visiting the Science and Technology Park facilities and getting in touch with some of the companies that are installed on Nonagon, like Jolera, Fibrenamics, Azores Bim Studio and Trisolaris.
