“Azores – A transatlantic hub for the aerospace sector” is the theme of the International Conference on the Strategy of the Azores for Space (EAE) which is being promoted, from yesterday until the end of today, at Teatro Micaelense.

With the presence of several renowned personalities in the area of Space, this Conference is intended to recall contributions for the development and implementation of EAE, explore opportunities for collaboration and joint action at the business, scientific and institutional level, plan meetings between the Azores Regional Government and stakeholders willing to discuss specific cooperation opportunities in the Azores and provide a unique matchmaking opportunity for both stakeholders and the Regional Government to explore opportunities and challenges.

The Azores, through business incubators located on the islands of São Miguel, Terceira and Santa Maria, namely in the Science and Technology parks NONAGON and TERINOV and INCUBA+, are an integral part of the incubators network of the European Space Agency (ESA BIC) in Portugal.
