The auditorium of the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel received yesterday the III Forum of the Azores Sustainability Primer, within the scope of the celebrations of World Tourism Day.

In charge of the Regional Secretariat for Energy, Environment and Tourism, Marta Guerreiro, the opening ceremony was held, saying that the Azores are highlighted in this "turning to a new tourism" for sustainability, and stressing the importance of the involvement of citizens and entrepreneurs as preponderant agents in tracing the path to sustainability.

Then, about 100 participants, in person and online, were able to watch the inspiring testimonies of CRESAÇOR, Picos de Aventura, Prolacto, Solar Branco Eco Estate & Boutique Hotel Azores and Pico do Refúgio, as success stories of entities whose practices are part of its management and performance models.

In this ceremony, the progress of four of the many subscribing entities of the Azores Sustainability Primer, Phytosphera Azorica, AC Cymbrom, Grupo Marques and Grupo Bensaúde, was also shared.

At the III Azores Forum, a new platform was presented dedicated to the management of the Azores Sustainability Primer.
