European Week for Safety and Health at Work

TESARAC - auditorium of the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel hosted, this Tuesday, the commemorative event of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, organized by the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Professional Qualification and Employment.

This ceremony was attended, at the Opening Session, by António Melo Medeiros, Regional Labor Inspector, Maria Fernanda Campos, General Inspector of the Authority for Working Conditions and, via video, with Duarte Freitas, Regional Secretary for Youth, Professional Qualification and Employment.

“Work-related musculoskeletal injuries” was the motto of the discussion of the first panel with the presence of Emília Telo from the Authority for Working Conditions, João Carmo from the Portuguese Ergonomics Association, José Raposo from Grupo SATA and Maria Amélia Pereira, Delegated Inspector of the Horta Inspection Service as moderator.

Rodrigo Alves, Occupational Doctor and Pedro Almeida Maia, Organizational Psychologist, present in the NONAGON business community through Segmetria, were the speakers on the panel dedicated to “Musculoskeletal Injuries and Health at Work” moderated by Mónica Melo, Deputy Inspector of the Inspection Service of Ponta Delgada.

This ceremony, which received approximately 120 participants, was closed by António Melo Medeiros, Regional Labor Inspector.
