As a member of the European Space Agency (ESA BIC) Incubator Network in Portugal, Nonagon Association hosted, this morning, the event “ESA BIC PT Açores RoadShow”, at the Viking Room of the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel.

After an introductory and welcome note made by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nonagon Association, Arnaldo Machado, the event featured the intervention of Tiago Peres from Portugal Space who addressed “The Space Ecosystem in Portugal and the Azores”, followed by Carlos Cerqueira who was responsible for presenting the incubation program – ESA BIC PT.

This ESA BIC PT RoadShow, held for the first time in the Azores, was also attended by Tiago Cristóvão, from Undersee, the case of an ESA BIC Alumni and, finally, with the contribution of Luís Santos, from the Mission Structure of the Azores for Space, which shared the status of the “Space Ecosystem in the Azores”.

The Regional Secretary for Culture, Science and Digital Transition, Suzete Amaro, some members of the NONAGON business community and the Azores Business Incubator Network were present at this initiative.

The ESA BIC PT Açores Roadshow was held yesterday at TERINOV – Terceira Island Science and Technology Park, today at NONAGON and will be replicated tomorrow at Incuba+, on Santa Maria Island – the three incubators that placed the Azores in the Agency's incubator network European Space (ESA BIC) in Portugal.
