Coordinated by the Nonagon Association, the Azores Digital Innovation Hub (AzoresDIH) was selected today to be part of the National Network of Digital Innovation Hubs and is designated for access to the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH).
This step is extremely important for AzoresDIH, as it is a mandatory requirement for obtaining the EDIH award and, consequently, for accessing European funding, which will bring clear added value to the financing of the Digital Innovation Pole of Azores and for the entire innovation ecosystem of the Azores.
The candidate projects for the National Network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) were analyzed by the National Innovation Agency and by IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, and subsequently selected, through Dispatch No. 6269/2021, of June 25, from the Minister of State for the Economy and Digital Transition, the 10 projects considered most promising and adequate to the strategy related to the Action Plan for the Digital Transition which, after being recognized as national IHLs, may come to be constituted as European IHLs.
This application aims to boost a National Network of Digital Innovation Hubs, to be developed in conjunction with recognized competitiveness clusters and technological interface centers, a network that will be interconnected with the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs, to be promoted by the European Commission in the European Framework Programs 2021-2027.
