The Nonagon Association- Science and Technology Park of São Miguel and A.E.S.A- Business Association for Sustainability of the Azores celebrated, last Monday, a protocol.

This partnership wants to enrich the business community of NONAGON with close and specialized support in sustainability.

The A.E.S.A, recently created by a private business initiative, results from a common concern among businessmen and entrepreneurs in the region and has the purpose of accelerating the transition to a fair, more circular and low-carbon economy, through innovation and collaboration, strengthening the business ecosystem in its active leadership role in society.

Having the same goal, the Nonagon Association, being a member of the Sustainability Charter since 2017, assumes a public commitment to work collaboratively to better position the region as a sustainable destination of excellence at a global level, through the implementation of a Sustainability Plan.

This Plan is a management tool that aims to measure the performance of the Nonagon Association in the environmental, economic and social dimensions, based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which define priorities and aspirations for the development of global sustainability by 2030.

The President of the Board of A.E.S.A, Catarina Miranda, and the Member of the Board of A.E.S.A, Pedro Cabral de Melo, were present at the signing of the protocol.
