Nonagon – Science and Technology Park of São Miguel opened its doors to host the 1st RIS3 Azores Journey for the period 2022-2027.

This event, which was promoted by the Regional Directorate for Science and Technology, consisted of the public disclosure of RIS3 2022-2027 and also featured a session dedicated to the dissemination of the Specific Objective 1.1 of PR Azores 2030.

The opening session was attended by the Vice President of the Regional Government of the Azores, Artur Lima, and the Regional Director for Science and Technology, Flávio Tiago. Also in the morning, the event had the participation of José Manuel Mendonça, President of the Board of Directors of INESC TEC.

After a break for networking, points of the Azores 2030 Regional Program were discussed through the participation of Nuno Melo Alves and Fábio Vieira.

In the afternoon, Fábio Vieira was responsible for giving a brief introduction about the functioning of the RIS3 working groups, followed by the participation of Ana Lopes and Américo Bento from the National Innovation Agency.

Once the activities in the Tesarac auditorium were over, the event proceeded simultaneously in the Nonagon and Expolab meeting rooms, where the groups met.
