The Nonagon Association - São Miguel Science and Technology Park, represented by the President of the Board of Directors, Teresa Ferreira, received a visit this Friday from the CEO of Google Portugal, Bernardo Correia, and the CEO of Google Cloud, Sofia Marta.

Also, were present the president of ANACOM, Sandra Maximiano, the Deputy Mayor of Lagoa, Frederico Sousa, the Territorial Commander of the Azores of the National Republican Guard, Coronel José Miguel Vieira, the Regional Director of Science, Innovation and Development, Flávio Tiago, the Regional Director of Communications and Digital Transition, Pedro Batista, the US Consul, Margareth Campbell, and some companies from the NONAGON business community.

The visit, which was part of the program of the event to present the connection of the NUVEM submarine cable to the Azores, held in Ponta Delgada, began in the auditorium with a brief presentation on the Association's main milestones by Lúcia Lopes and Sofia Pereira, NONAGON collaborators.

They then had the opportunity to see the facilities of the two buildings that make up the São Miguel Science and Technology Park and their respective functional areas, and to interact with members of the companies in the ecosystem.
