The 2nd Regenerative Agriculture Congress took place in the NONAGON auditorium, an event that brought together experts, academics, and professionals from the sector to discuss the future of agricultural sustainability.

This event, held on World Agriculture Day, was organized by Bel in partnership with the Grace and provided valuable insights into innovative practices and the challenges faced by the sector.

The event opened with a session led by Eduardo Vasconcelos, Bel's Purchasing Director, and Pedro Amaral Frazão, Vice President of Grace.

The first presentation was given by Odette Menard, who provided an international perspective on strategies for improving soil health and agricultural productivity.

Participants then had the opportunity to learn about Bel Portugal's pilot projects, which demonstrate the practical application of regenerative models in dairy and agricultural production.

The event also featured a roundtable discussion on the topic “Sustainable Agriculture: Myth or Reality?”, attended by Pedro Prisca and Luís Gonzaga, and moderated by Paula Amaral.

Participants also had the opportunity to watch a video from the President of the Regional Government of the Azores, who highlighted the importance of the work carried out by Bel and producers.

At the end of the event, awards were presented for the 10th anniversary of the “Happy Cow’s Milk Program”, an initiative that has been promoted sustainability in milk production.
